I just can’t tell you enough how excited I am for the future. It’s going to be bright!
There is nothing better than creating something from scratch and since the inception of our business, Davis Virtual Assistants, I have had the great pleasure of working with my business partner, Bree (my sister-in-law).
We not only work together, but we have shared dreams, aspirations, goals, values, drive and excitement for what we have and will achieve. This combination I believe, makes a great business partnership.
We are forging ahead and creating our future. We are not leaving it to someone else to do it for us, we are taking control and owning it.
“What we think determines what happens to us, so if we want to change our lives, we need to stretch our minds. So go for it now. The future is promised to no one.” Wayne Dyer
This is why our partnership is thriving
We don’t get distracted by doom and gloom, we see opportunity everywhere and are confident that our years of experience, sharp skills and talents are what our clients need. We not only provide support to our customers but importantly, we are in the business of providing assistance to help our customers succeed.
We are never satisfied
We are committed to personal growth and learning and never satisfied with “good enough”. We are continually increasing our knowledge base and are driven to improve our procedures and processes to be the most efficient and skilled as possible.
It’s not my job
Never will these words be spoken! We will never walk past a problem, inefficient process or leave it for someone else to do, we will fix it, improve it or seek out a solution.
Know your partner
Before establishing any partnership, get to know the attributes and abilities each partner will bring to the table.
Being aware of skills, knowledge and talent is very important and relatively easy to establish through past work experience and work examples, however, personality and emotional intelligence (EI) is equally essential to any partnership.
Emotional intelligence underlies our ability to change, lead, our self-awareness, empathy towards others and managing our emotions and stress levels. Knowing and being aware of your partner’s EI level and even your own, may be a key contributor to the success or failure of your partnership. Put some time and effort into this and you won’t look back.
If you fit together, you can work together! Go for it.
